Newbie question...

I have a 1.52 PSP coming to me tomorrow and I have everything ready to upgrade to 2.0 and then downgrade. I have just one question.

I am reading a lot of things like "Copy h.bin in root of your memory stick". What exactly is the "root" of my memory stick. Is that just loose on my memory stick "drive"with the MEMSTICK.IND, MP_ROOT and PSP folders? Or do I drop it into the MP_ROOT folder? Personally, I think that the file is dropped loose on the memory stick "Drive". This is the only thing that is confusing to me. Thanks for any help you can give me.

-Chris

Root is the Root letter, for example, you would extract it to, D:\

I am using a Mac. From what I can see that D:/ would be like dropping the file lose into the memory stick. So the h.bin file from example above would be with the MEMSTICK.IND, MP_ROOT and PSP folders. Any Mac users out there??

Sorry to sound so ignorant. I just do not want to brick up this PSP. Thanks again.

yes, the root of your memory stick is NOT the MP_ROOT folder, its the folder with the MP_ROOT and PSP folders in it

or as you put it... loose into the memory stick
