is it necesarry to downgrade 2.0 -> 1.5

after u do the 2.5/2.6 downgrader, i heard that noumd loaders wont work, is this correct. thanx

u are correct umds dont work u have to update ur 1.5 to 2.0 then downgrade it from 2.0 to 1.5 to fix this problem

No, there is no need to upgrade to 2.00 and then downgrade to 1.50. All you have to do to get UMDs to run is remove the battery, then put it back in.

Why would removing the battery make UMD's run? Because it still thinks it's 2.7?

I think ya mean 2.50/2.60 . And i think its the psp has power and is confused or something, but as soon as you take out the battery and wait til all the power is out of the psp it works fine, i dont know exactly why it does it though.

yea, i meant 2.5/6....all these threads bout "possible 2.7 exploits" (all of which were tried on 2.6) are getting me confused.
