There already are AMAZING new features. Earlier today, mods were released for the custom firmwares, allowing for USB anywhere in the XMB, and screenshots. The best feature is the ability to launch a homebrew app whil booting by holding L! There is also a new recovery.elf which enhances recovery mode.

First, uninstall the previous custom firmware using the custom FW unflasher. Found here: http://dl.qj.net/Custom-Firmware-Unf...8848/catid/114

Second, download these files:
http://dl.qj.net/Harleyg-s-Custom-Fi...8864/catid/114
http://dl.qj.net/Haryleyg-s-Custom-F...8865/catid/114

The second file is the custom fw. Extract all the neccessary files, and configure the config.txt in the SYSTEM folder to your liking. You can change the homebrew app booted by holding L at startup, as well as the options of the old custom fw.
Near the bottom of the cofig, you will see this line:
Quote:
#loadmodule0 = "ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/AIOMod.prx"
You need to remove the '#' from the beginning.

Install the FW with the included application. DO NOT USE THE OLD ONE!

To install the enhanced recovery (DO THIS AFTER):

What I did, is place the recovery.ELF file into the root of your memory stick, and download this: http://pspupdates.qj.net/Custom-Fir...pg/49/aid/58989

It launches the ELF. Then, choose the option to "Flash Recovery.ELF to Flash0".

Then you will have an enhanced recovery mode.

Thanks, i'll probably make a new thread about it, but I may get flamed for posting news....

I doubt it. Remember that these mods are mostly just PRX's, so you would just have to load them from the config.txt file.

If not, somebody might incorporate the additional features into one package, much like it's done with Devhook over at PlanetPSP.

Besides, lots of people go "I will only install when better features appear", when infact, they dont know what features they want. The future of custom FW is so unpredictable.

lol i didnt no they were just prx's to be honest havnt really looked into it, but yea i can understand what u mean by that its so unpredictable i think genrally in that case that ill just wait and see how things turn out, and when theres stuff i like ill custom firmware it then but till im more clear about the whole thing i wont install custom firmware, but then again thats just my opinion
