Custom FW question

I was wondering (Sorry if this was already answered) if I could have more than 1 custom firmware on my PSP. Also what do I need to install it?

I don't know much about custom fw's but I think you can only have one because it replaces your current fw.

im not sure what you mean but some mods are usually prx's and you can just edit the config file to load it but i think it depends on how they change it

Since this is about custom firmware does anyone know if Haryleyg's mod clocks the psp at 333mhz automatically i know Zettablade's mod is but i currently have Haryleyg's and idk if its the same

I think with the mod-chip yes. But if you don't have a mod-chip I don't think you can have more than one. Since the custom firmware writes to the flash which on the PSP it has only 1 Flash0 and 1 Flash1 folders on it so the custom firmwares over write the files with their patch(es). If that's what you mean.

i think you misunderstand by custom firmware it means to modify the original 1.5 slightly to give you options you want not write multiple firmwares to one flash

I dont know a whole lot about this custom firmware business myself, but my understanding is that the 'custom firmware' isn't like one big single package like the Sony eboot updates, I think the custom firmware's are just custom PRX modules that you apply to the current firmware to either add to or overwrite the standard PRXs, so I would think that the number of custom firmwares you can have basically just means how many PRXs can you apply to the current firmware

Although...I could be totally wrong, I look forward to a more knowledgable soul coming into this thread and enlightening us
