Points: 63,624.51 Donate | | | Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Coming To PSP? Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has astounding graphics, no doubt about that. HDR and bloom make it look amazing. Both on the 360 as well as on a souped up PC, it's real eye candy. Not only does it look that good, but it also sports a pretty decent gameplay to back it as well. That's why many gamers love this game. Back in April, Bethesda Games, producer of Oblivion, was asked if a version would be produced for the PSP.
Though unconfirmed, the supposed response negated the possibility, claiming that they would only stick to a 360 and PC release. However, EB Games has just updated their games database, and included in the mix is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for, you guessed it, PSP. Though the estimated release date is far off in March '07, this is really the only 'proof', so to speak, claiming the games existance on the PSP handheld. It would be nice to see a confirmed report from a Bethesda representative, but in the meantime, lets enjoy the fact that yet another awesome game might just be heading to the PSP!
Plus, it would be definitely interesting to see how a game with great graphics, like so, would fare on the PSP handheld, which has sub-360 graphics power. Check out the EB Games website to view the game here. |

It's even better because you can get a brand new 2nd hand one, because people give it back saying it's a crap game, but they didn't play it for long enough. Once you've got your head round all the complicated status's and level growing, you're good to go!
I would love to see this on PSP! |

I have the PC version, and one of the major reasons I bought it was because of it's malleability. With the PC one, I was actually able to make the game look even better through modding, and I don't know if I'd have the same feelings about it if I were to play it on my PSP. I'm sure the handheld is more then capable at playing the game, and those who do not have a 360 or a good PC will simply love it. The game mechanics are a little hard to get used too, but once you figure out how it works, you will probably find yourself creating your own character class, to fit your playing style. I've been playing the game for over two months now, and I haven't even started the main storyline.
The biggest issue is going to be plugins. With the 360 and PC, Bethesda has created many useful and agreeably priced plugins (such as the Mages Tower, Pirate's Cove, and Mehrune's Razor). With Sony's tendency to make it as difficult as possible to modify any games, I question how they are going to do this, without openning an exploit for us to get through. |
