StrmnNrmn has announced some more news regarding his progress on the coming R7 release of Daedalus PSP. He has worked on some great new optimizations which allow the emulator "to generate fewer instructions (reducing the size of the dynarec code), unnecessarily flush out cached registers, avoid generating exception handling code, and eliminate redundant instructions (the initial LUI)." StrmnNrmn plans to work on further improving these updates, and apply them to other parts of the source code as well.



Through his recent optimizations, he has managed to gain additional speed (unspecified %), and reduce graphical glitches in many N64 games. He also plans to release R7, the new version of Daedalus PSP, sometime next weekend if all goes well. Great work StrmnNrmn, keep us informed!
