Well, according to alot of people the Tiff exploit still works, but not according to psp-hacks, but they also fixed a problem with some Media you put on your memory stick showing up as corrupted, and added support for 8gb memory sticks, I think thats it but not sure

The TIFF exploit DOES NOT work in 2.81.
This means that upgrading to 2.81 will lock you out of the homebrew world (at least until a new exploit is found )

The fixes include a couple things. First, there was some weird corruption glitch with ATRAC audio that didn't exactly corrupt the tracks, but still made them so the PSP refused to play them. The new firmware also supports larger Memory Sticks.

Well, you're in for quite the wait. Let me see....2.6 was released late December (I think), GTA e-loader a bit after that in January, and the downgrader in late July.

So let's figure out the timeline for downgrading for 2.8...released mid-August, had new tiff exploit late August/early September. So, I predict a downgrader comming in January. Happy waiting!

(I really do hope that it is a bit sooner, I just couldn't help picking on your comment)
