Is there any reason and do I have to take the battery out for like 5 minutes or what?
TIFF Pong v0.1 requires a hard shutdown at the moment (as mentioned in the readme.txt as well; unlike Tetris). v0.2 of the game will not require a hard shutdown, and might be released later today.

Your PSP should turn on fine after a hard shutdown. If not, pull out the battery for a few minutes and try again. There is no way your PSP could have been bricked through the game, so surely your PSP is fine.

EDIT: Noticed you edited your message, glad ya got it figured out.

I really wouldn't suggest that scale of project, especially if you're new. Pong, as it is, was a real pain to get working even though it's so basic, and I've had years of experience. You can give it a try, but even then there's no guarentee it will work due to current 2.7-2.8 limitations.
