The contest has been delayed. It was
supposed to end on September 24th at 3:00 P.M. EST, but, unfortunately, due to a lack of contest promotion, it appears we only had 2 entries.
Two. Comon' now guys and gals, we can do better than that, right? It ain't a contest with two entries!
As you can see, the title of the contest has now changed. It's no longer called "Ultimate Cash Giveaway!", but rather, the "Ultimate Goodies And Cash Giveaway!" Reason for this change, you ask? Well, we've just acquired a ton of more goodies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners! Erm... which also affects the rules.
Play-Asia.com is one of the new sponsors of the contest. They have willfully contributed $150 in PSP games and accessories for you all to compete for. The first portion of the contest consists of a private judging of all homebrew by PSP3D.com staff members. We will judge your application based off its originality, creativity, functionality, and useability. There will be a 1st place winner, who takes home
$60 in prizes (whatever you wish to grab from Play-Asia.com, delivered to your doorstep), a 2nd place winner, who takes home $40 in prizes, and third and fourth place winners, who will both take home $25 in PSP prizes from Play-Asia. Special thanks to Play-Asia.com for sponsoring this part of the contest, check out there site if ya haven't already, they offer some pretty neat PSP games for awesome prices, and they even deliver worldwide!
Now if you happen to not win in this portion of the contest, behold, there's an
entirely new part which guarentees a prize. Read on.
Here's how the cash portion of the contest works. All developers interested, with a new homebrew creation, send their entries to PSP3D.com staff. We review each submission, and add it in a poll alongside all the other entries. On
Monday, October 9th, the poll will be publicly posted on the homepage of PSP3D.com, where the entire community votes for their favorite homebrew. Each vote earns you $0.50 USD. People keep voting until the total amount of votes reaches $150.00 USD (300 votes, collectively for all homebrew entries). Only one vote per PSP3D.com visitor, and don't worry, somebody will vote at least once for your creation, so all developers win, in the end. It's just a matter of who gets the most votes in the shortest amount of time!
Now, once again, for the rules. Only
one submission per developer. The submission must be a
unique and unreleased piece of homebrew; the entry need
not be a new homebrew, per say, but may be an update to a previously released game/application. Keep in mind that a new homebrew release may score more points amongst the community and the judges, so you choose how much you want to make! You must have a PayPal account in order to acquire the prize money of the cash portion of the contest. The prize money will not be sent via any other means.
All homebrew entries must have [

Monday, October 9th, at 3:00 P.M. EST. Public poll will be posted later, same day. Send all submissions to
Joe[at]PSP3D.com. PSP3D.com reserves the right to cancel/delay the contest should a lack of sufficient entries, once again, occur (which, hopefully this time around, won't happen)!
Good luck developing!
