But the "cheat" device is hilarias. Half the community we're against it and the other half we're pissed off that it didnt work. If you really want to cheat at a game, you must suck at it. |

anyways, I thought it was pretty funny too.
because I know a little about the PSP programming, I had allsorts of friends asking me "duh... how does this thing work?"
my reply was
"it doesn't! and you're freak'n lucky this wasn't a bricker!"
imagine howmany people would have bricked their PSP if this app was THAT sort of homebrew....
pretty scarry.
so [[no bricked PSP's=funny joke]]
if it did brick PSP's... well... cheater's ONLINE in particular deserve it but it wouldn't be funny.
but that's just my opinion. |

Originally Posted by Joe D. Though many have have had doubts about the Illusion Cheat Device since the very moment it was released, there is still quite a following of users who believe that the first multiplayer cheat device for SOCOM: FTB for PSP is a legitimate release. This is not the case. After careful inspection by top PSP developers, it has been noticed that the Illusion is nothing but a "Hello World" application not-so-cleverly disguised as a multiplayer hack, which promised to bring rapid-fire, unlimited ammo, and much more to the infrastructure mode of the game. Since its release, not a single person has managed to run the hack successfully, and nobody has found the supposed #2 on the back of SOCOM's UMD. Furthermore, a conversation with the developer, Static, yielded an outright statement that Illusion, is in fact, a fake. There you have it folks, Illusion is now a confirmed fake.
As some said, the "Illusion was really just an illusion"; yet another fake application released in the PSP scene for the sole purpose of boosting the reputation of an online nametag, in this case, "Static". The overall result of these findings is double-sided; the individuals who enjoy using multiplayer hacks are disappointed, yet the honest online gamers can now rejoice; SOCOM for PSP is still hack-free! | Socom is not hack free and wasnt for a while now there are soo many hackers and more are coming each day. The game has lost all of it fun thanks to Omlette-1337, uni-terror, blu3_m4n and Harry62(Those are the people that hacked the game and now its ruined.) But whatever ftb 2 is less den a month away and hopefully that would be harder to hack and if it is hacked hopefully the codes wont be released. |
