Eiffel56 has just created a new homebrew application for 2.71 SE-A, allowing users to fully customize the firmware. Now it might not look like much, but the features can give this project some reason to boast.
With this awesome new program, you can install a custom font, replace the default backgrounds, and even use your own gameboots! And remember, this is all on your 2.71 SE-A firmware! If by any chance something goes horribly wrong, you can use the firmware's included 'Recovery Mode' to flash a clean firmware, then re-install 2.71 SE-A.
How to use the customizer:
- Copy the 271c folder from the archive to your PSP's PSPGAME150 folder.
- Depending on what you want to do, copy the relevant files to your Memory Stick Duo. For example, if you want to install a custom font, move the ltn0.pgf to the root of the Memory Stick Duo.
- Now once you run the application, you will be given the choice of flashing different items. For example, to install a custom font, press X!
- Once the application completes it's operations, simply reboot your PSP.
Good job, Eiffel56! Now users can have a custom-
custom firmware!
