Well, we all remember a few months ago, when we first heard about people creating fake Memory Stick Duos. These cheaply made look-alikes were sold for about 1/4 of the retail price, and provided terrible performance. We thought that was all over, right? Well, guess again!

Japanese police recently arrested Peng Xiong, 26, and his wife. In the place they were hiding, they found nearly 20 fake 2GB Memory Sticks. They had been selling them each for about ¥ 8,000 yen, compared to the original price of ¥ 20,000 yen. Some had even been shipped overseas with the help of a friend. In total, Xiong sold more than 400 of these ripoff Memory Sticks.

Sony has always been taking this topic as a major issue. With their trademarked copyrights being used illegally, we can definetely expect Sony to address this issue. Japanese police forces are still trying to find the source of the fake cards, to hopefully put an end to this ongoing concern.

I wouldnt care if my 2Gig stick was fake. If its 2GB and cheaper i couldnt give a crap.

WTF is with all the ads now?!? I dont mind the little ones but thers feckin huge ones on here!

I have to say, there are a lot of ads here now. There used to be 3, now there's 6 on threads and 5 on the homepage! And that's not counting the Google and Yahoo ads on top of every news post!

Guys, the ads keep the site running! Maybe if you clicked a few often, we wouldn't need as many!

I'm not complaining about the ads themselves, or their size - just their quantity. Sometimes, when I'm on the homepage of PSP3D, FF takes up 50% of my CPU - And my computer isn't exactly slow.

Look, I'm not complaining about the fact that ads exist on the page, just the quantity of them. Now I'm done making my point.

I think I had bought a fake memory stick a while back when I went on a business trip to NYC. It was a 1 GB "Sandisk" MS for only $29. Of course, this was well over 6 months ago, and prices were much higher then they are now.

On another note, whoops! There should be 5 ads now, looks like somebody accidentally added one too many at the bottom.

But anyways, we do have quotas we need to meet in order to sustain site functionality, however, since we sell all our adds directly to the advertisers, most of the ads are not the annoying, flashy, and distracting banners you see around the rest of the net, but high quality, targeted, brand advertisers. Sorry about that, but we'd prefer not to offer a site subscription system as it's too much of a hassle and we like to keep things free anyways, but, if you all prefer, I'll pass it along to Robert and see what he thinks.
