Looks like Sony has released yet another, minor update to 3.00, making it the 3rd small revision in less than a month. Here's the changelog:
- The number PLAYSTATION Network titles which can be played from the PSN have been increased.
- New revisions to security have been added. 
That's it. Or at least, that's all Sony wants us to know, as this firmware cannot currently be decrypted, for use with DevHook. However, the problem is minor, as the only change is that Sony have changed the layout of the PSAR. Layman's translation? Basically, the files are put in slightly different locations inside the update file, meaning psardumper, the tool which decrypts the firmware, gets confused. Minor updates to both DevHook and psardumper should fix that problem completely, but may not be available for some time.
In the meantime, it is possible that additional security measures have been added on top of the new PSAR layout. Remember, if you do upgrade to 3.03, you will forfeit homebrewing capabilities. Or you could just be a good, straitlaced PSP user and upgrade now! [Download - Firmware 3.03]

Check out here for the update: Firmware 3.03 - Download + Devhook details - PlayStation Portable News - PSP Updates . They thought at first that is all there has to be done but according to Mathieulh it a bit more complex. So right it questionable to what has to be done to get it right. |
