0okm has announced his latest feat: he's successfully written to the 2.80 firmware's NAND flash0 sector, and has announced that a downgrader is not far off. 
0okm states: "Thank You Team C+D's Great Work, now i can Access Nand Flash on FW2.80 ^o^".
What does this mean? Well, he spells it out for us in the comments section of his blog: "DG for FW2.80 is easy, ISO loader for FW2.80 need to port many thing."
Basically, 0okm has expressed that he and other developers can now continue and press on with tools such as a firmware downgrader in the near future, once additional work is complete.
