0okom has released fw2.80 downgrader for TA-079~081 v0.01

This Program is Just For FW2.80 TA-079~081 PSP
Don't use it on other ver. PSP !!!

HowTo

1. Run moonlight's "FW2.60 DownDate helper" on FW1.50PSP to Dump "FW1.50 File"
　　or Download "FW1.50 File" from psp-hacks downdater_final.rar
　　Extract downdater_final.rar\DOWNDATER\ all file to ms0:\DOWNDATER\

2. Run FW150IPL_Dumper on FW1.50PSP to Dump ms0:\DOWNDATER\PRX\FW150_ipl.bin
　　NOTE: if no FW150_ipl.bin in ms0:\DOWNDATER\PRX\
　　Run FW280DownDate4TA-079 will brick your PSP !!!

3. Run FW280DownDate4TA-079 By xLoader
　　NOTE: Don't use eLoader to Run FW280DownDate4TA-079
　　it will brick your PSP !!!

Note:
Don't Run FW280DownDate4TA-079 without ms0:\DOWNDATER\PRX\FW150_ipl.bin.
Don't use eLoader to Run FW280DownDate4TA-079.
CleanReboot PSP Before Run FW280DownDate4TA-079 by xLoader.

I knew this would be released Xmas day. And luckylly i did not upgrade my psp for a long time. I have A White Jap PSP 2.8 and I am wondering if this will work with it. I shall wait to here from dorkdork777 who will probably post a tutorial on this downgrade because thats what hes famous for. Can't wait to have 1.5 on my psp. cheers

I say wait untill a newer version of the downdater is released. The current 2.8 one has no checks on the files, hence the high chance for bricking.

Very true, but the easy downgrader (now has ver 2) Comes with all of the needed files. If there would be an error, it would be from an app error or a dead battery. Thats it.

the downgrader worked for me...juust use the guidde on psp-vault.com and am i supposed to get some sort of 1.5 file or something cause wen i start a game the psp screen just say psp even for umds..........please ttell me

I have a ceramic white imported psp. 2.8. And Im wondering if this will work for my psp. Can someone maybe post a newb proof tutorial cuz im afraid of bricking my psp.

Alright guys i hope this helps. Last night I found this link that walks you through all the steps of downgrading from 2.8 ( PSP Vault: Firmware 2.80-to-1.50 (Easy Downgrader) Guide :: PSP-Vault :: PSP downloads, community, news ). I followed the directons given by them exactly and it worked just fine. Hope this rests your fears for those of you who were afraid to downgrade. Just make sure ur psp isn't a TA-082.
