Booster has surprised us all with a late Christmas present; all firmwares can be emulated in full. That's right! DevHook has been pumped up to version 0.52, now with support for firmware 3.03 PSPs.
In this version, you will need the PSAR dumper (that is bundled with the program) in order to install, but it works just fine.
With the new version, however, there is no fix for the POPS issues that DevHook has. Therefore, you can't emulate official PSX images with this, but you can do everything else, which means any UMD's requiring 3.03 firmware that will start to appear in the near future are compatible. Future-proof homebrew is where it's at!
1) Download the 3.03 Firmware update EBOOT (use network update or
[HERE]).
2) Download Devhook v0.52 + PSAR Dumper from C+D.
3) Extract all files.
4) Move PSAR_Dumper2 and PSAR_Dumper2% to PSP\Game directory.
5) Download PBP unpacker or PSPBrew and extract the DATA.PSAR file.
6) Move the DATA.PSAR file to the root of your memory stick.
7) Open up the extracted DevHook folder and move dh, fbm, and PSP into the root of your memory stick.
8) Disconnect your PSP from USB and run the PSAR dumper from your memory stick via the XMB and follow the on-screen instructions (press X to dump).
9) Connect your PSP to your PC and copy the newly created F0 folder (root of your memory stick) and move it to dh/303/.
10) Run DevHook v0.52 now and go down to flash install (uninstall the flash configuration if you have previously installed a previous firmware) and click install configuration. Hold O for a few seconds to confirm.
11) Now go to firmware and select 3.03 and boot up DevHook.
The PSP should reboot, and you should now be emulating v3.03! Awesome work Booster, keep at it!
