0okm has just released a 2.80 to 2.71 downgrader for all TA-079 to TA-086 motherboard PSPs. Though this is an awesome release, you will have to put a lot of effort into getting the downgrader to successfully work, as it ain't as easy as previous downgraders. You will have to download the latest PSARDumper, the official firmware 2.71 update EBOOT, a PBP unpacker, and the downgrader application.
To use the downgrader, you must:
- Unpack the official firmware 2.71 EBOOT file in the PBP unpacker software.
- Extract and move the DATA.PSAR file to the root location of your memory stick.
- Extract and run the latest PSARDumper on a helper PSP (you will need to have a friend who has 2.71 to do it for you).
- Press "Circle" when in PSARDumper to dump encrypted without sigcheck and dump reboot.bin.
- Once the DATA.PSAR file has been dumped, move the newly created folder to the PSP which you want to downgrade.
- Use xLoader to run the downgrader.
Update:
0okm has made the downgrader application public, so there is no longer any need to e-mail him for a download link!
