Although this is mostly his work, it's a release from the greasy hands of TeamDarkWater. This application is a plugin for any one of Dark_AleX's OE firmwares, running under the built in feature to load a homebrew application on boot.
But we should really explain what this does before we go on any more! It's effectively a no-GUI firmware loader, so you can auto-magically boot into, say, the 'leaked' 1.00 debug firmware. It has no text output, and will boot quickly.
It's designed for booting the 1.00 debug firmware, but *should* function well with firmwares up to 2.50. Pj1115 doesn't want anyone to think that he's simply trying to compete with DevHook or anything; he's not. "This program is purely for novelty purposes".
The code owes a lot to the SonyXTeam BFM, as it borrows some code from the source, so thanks to Yoshihiro and the team. As with the original BFM, there are some bugs when emulating the firmware. Read the readme.txt file included in the download package for more information on that and much, much more! Good work pj1115!

Then you need to move the folders from the F0 folder into the root of the memory stick.
Once you launch the emualted firmware, you'll get errors and a primitive BSoD, so confirm and it will run normally.
I need to fiddle with device drivers to make the Flash0 mount to a directory instead of the root, because sceioassign will only mount block devices.
Enjoy. |

Don't even attempt to flash it, though - will result in a brick. I've tried extracting the clip from the file, but it's not only too big to fit inside the 3.03 firmware file, it's too long.
In the debug, the sound runs into the XMB; in new firmwares, it's over before everything is finished.
Can someone tell me if it worked for them? |

In January, 2005, a firmware update was leaked from Sony. This "update" when run on a 1.0 PSP would say before the update, that it would add:
RSS Feed Reader
Portable Calculator
Email software
Spreadsheet software
Small word processor
Web Browser
Scheduler
Bug Fixes
| Some one posted this on another thread. These features are not in the bogus 1.00 firmware. Well atleast the one that i found. Do I have the correct one? | |
