Points: 440,654.87 Donate | | | CFW Recovery Flasher Released Move over Pandora Battery, here comes the CFW Recovery Flasher written by the one and only Hellcat! Basically what this does is it recovers semi-bricked PSPs, downgrade or upgrade to any custom firmware, or downgrade directly to 3.71 M33. Hellcat also notes this about the CFW Recovery Flasher: Quote:
Flashes a fresh 3.71-M33 - for recovering semi-bricks or to upgrade/downgrade CFW
does not use Pandora, runs from the recovery menu or the XMB
does not use (as in launch) the original Sony Updater (only extracts
all required files from the original .PBP)
runs fine on CFWs lower than 3.52-M33-3 - handy for upgrading older FWs w/o the "need to go 3.52, then 3.52-3, then higher" odyssey :-)
runs fine from TimeMachine (3.40-OE on Fat and 3.60-M33 on Slim)
can backup the FW flash and restore selected parts (XMB theme, settings, PSN activation)
|
Hellcat also said the 3.71 M33 was chosen because it is the lowest custom firmware that will run on both Phat and Slim PSPs natively.

| | | | i just started using cfw on my psp. i currently have a GoW slim with the TA-085 mobo using 4.01m33-2. it's been awesome so far but irshell doesn't work very well. i can see how powerfully a fully functional irshell could be, so i was considering downgrading the cfw. my only problem is i don't have a pandora battery. the one i hardmoded to get cfw 4.01m33-2 installed, just died on me. anywho, i'll give this homebrew a shot. it will be awesome if i can downgrade without a pandora battery. all the research i did mentioned that i needed a pandora battery to downgrade, so this is kind of a big deal for me. ^^ |
