Sony has announced a new bundle pack which includes a PSP-3000 and the game Dissidia: Final Fantasy which is due to be released in Japan on December 18. If this bundle will come to other regions have yet to be said. Quote:
Ooooh, yet another excuse to pick up Sony's nifty handheld...as if you needed another excuse by now.
Square-Enix has unveiled the Limited Edition Dissidia: Final Fantasy PSP Bundle, which features a copy of the highly anticipated action title and the new PSP-3000 unit. As you can see, it's a sleek and fully loaded package, and as has been the case with other PSP packages, the PSP itself is unique. This one features the characters Cosmos and Chaos emblazoned onto the sharp white paint, and besides this, you will also receive a special package for the game itself, which features artwork from franchise artist Yoshitaka Amano. This bundle will go on sale the day Dissidia launches in Japan, December 18, and will retail for 25,890 yen. Now, we're not entirely sure when and if the bundle will find its way to North America or Europe, but we're hoping it does. Something like this is bound to increase PSP sales; just look at how well the God of War: Chains of Olympus and Madden 09 PSP bundles sold. And this one comes with the enhanced and upgraded PSP-3000, so...
Of course, the only problem is that a game like Dissidia: Final Fantasy usually appeals more to the Japanese crowd, so we may never see this bundle. Maybe if there are enough FF fans over here that are willing to beg for it, Square-Enix will be good enough to make it available. Who knows?

| | Member | | | | | I've been away from the PSP homebrew community for a very long time...So much has changed that I really don't feel like scouring the forums for my multiple answers, so I'd appreciate an efficient response to this and don't bother flaming.
Assuming I bought one of these from Japan, how easy would it be to install custom firmware/downgrade it? Because of course - I can't speak Japanese.
I just flicked through the forums and picked up on something called a "Pandora Battery Hack"... Is this the only way I could do it?
Basicly, what I'd like to do is purchase that PSP and install English firmware, and make it able to play UK games at least.. Possible? Any links to recent tuts or guides?
Any prompt help would be much appreciated. |

Just change the region from the default to your region but the Pandora's battery will not work on the new 3000 PSP so until they find a way to hack the 3000 you're stuck with official firmware. You may just be able to simply change the language setting to English though through the PSP's menu
By the way good to see you. I see you're an old member. I don't really remember you from the old days but still welcome back |

| | Member | | | | Haha. I have been out of the loop so long I totally forgot that they have a language option in there. Even so, I'm sure the PSP homebrew community still prevails even if it does take more than a week now lol.
Thanks yeah I've been tempted a few times to re-buy a PSP, maybe if I do I will be more active here. And sorry but I see JSF and think "JETS! ACE COMBAT!! WOO!!" so you're name doesn't ring a bell either.
The only two things that I remember from the PSP world are Fanjita & noobz.eu. :P Actually and that homebrew where ya gotta move your penquin through the white spikes without hitting the walls.. :P
How nostalgic. | |
