Looks like we have been a little slow on posting the news on the progress of Quake 2 for PSP by Team Emergency Exit, and the main person in charge of this port, McZonk. But don't get us wrong, we were and still are really looking forward to it's release. However, a few unscrupulous souls out there have really been giving them a hard time, and honestly, we know how it feels to be flamed by the community while something is still a work-in-progress, and it feels pretty damn bad, even with only one or two people flaming.
Flaming and trash-talking a developer/coder that works for free and for the benefit of the community is wrong. If you believe you have the rights to do so, try making the code yourself.
Anyways, we just want to let McZonk and the rest of Team Emergency Exit know that we are fully supporting them, and we really look forward to the Quake 2 port, which, by the way, looks absolutely fantastic thus far, and was personally one of my favorite games in the late '90s. Keep up the good work, and don't give up!

Why is everyone so excited about this crap? It's a very ugly port of a 10 year old game. Before anyone gets pissed off atme, I'm one of beta testers. No one wants to play this crap.
The funny thing is, hes not even a tester. The flamers are usually little winny kids who are complaining about ISOs or something of that sort.
Check out his blog and much else here |

But I'm smart enough to see that these guys are putting in a lot of effort to bring this game to the PSP. People need to stop bashing the coders for something they're interested in doing. The hackers/coders/programmers aren't going to develop something just because you like it.
People need to grow up and see this is for them, and the people who want to give it a try. Not everyone is gonna like it, but who cares. The programmers are doing this for them. Once it's done, they'll release it to the public so that other fans can enjoy it. They're not here to accomplish YOUR dreams by making YOUR favorite games. They will start off with their own and release it so that other fans can have some fun and maybe get new fans into it.
I kinda hope this game is a huge success, and that the programmers quit doing games for atleast a while. That way people will realize what they have lost out in. Good programmers.
People need to grow up. |

I hope someone releases a program that is suppose to be an ISO Loader but in the end it bricks all the PSP's. That will so get those stupid ISO nut people. ISO's aren't that great. People are so obsessed by them, but my question is "Why?" I mean yea, you can play burnt games, but why not just buy the games and play them on your PSP?
Besides more people will keep crying later on when a game require 3.6. The guy that's developing that MPH Firmware launcher should quit doing his version changer, it's big time illegal. Instead he should try and help fanjita get an EBOOT Loader going. |
