Maybe it's just me but I'm pretty sure the last thing the PSP needs is another compilation of 20 year old games...on that note...
Namco has announced more retro action in the shape of Namco Museum Vol. 2.
The game will include a host of classic retro titles, together with two remakes featuring 3D graphics. The classic arcade titles included are King & Balloon (1980), Bosconian (1981), Xevious (1983), Mappy (1983), Tower of Druaga (1984), Grobda (1984), Dragon Buster (1985), Dig Dug II (1985), Motos (1985), Rolling Thunder (1986) and Dragon Spirit (1987). Pac Man Arrangement Plus and Motos Arrangement will both feature new 3D graphics and wireless multiplayer support for up to four players.
Although there will be no game sharing options for multiplayer, the game will include a number of retro game demos which you can send to friends. There will be ten demos in total with seven coming from Namco Museum Vol. 1. The game is currently scheduled for a February 23 release in Japan, and although there is nothing official on a western release, it's a pretty safe bet that the game will arrive in territories outside of Japan later in 2006.
NAMCO,...crazy ass NAMCO,....when will you learn...old games in compilations like this were cool...4 yrs ago, MAKE A NEW DAMN GAME INSTEAD OF MILKING THESE OLD GAMES!
I like the compilation idea but why don't they just make one kicka$$ compilation instead of a bunch of volumes, I know they can supposedly make more money that way but most of the people who buy these usually play them on emulators and thus won't buy this. It'd be worth full price if it was filled with ALL their best games, not just a couple of good ones in each volume forcing us to buy 4 games that can easily be put on one.

You just answered your own question. Why aren't they doing it? Greed, plain and simple.
