Points: 63,686.40 Donate | | | Splinter Cell: Essentials for PSP A Prequel? Well after the various rumors that were released earlier this week about Splinter Cell for the PSP, a few facts have emerged. First off, it will be called Spinter Cell: Essentials. However, just like some other full 'console' games that are currently being made for the PSP, they are not straight ports, and appear to have modifications and distinct story lines. In this case, the Ubisoft representatives claim that the game will feature a 'prequel aspect' to it, meaning it would be BEFORE all the rest of the Splinter Cell series, when you first get to meet Fisher. Smart move? Who knows, we'll have to see when more information is released, which should not be too much longer, as indicated in the quotes below.
"Ubisoft reps confirmed to GameSpot that Splinter Cell Essentials would indeed include a ' prequel aspect.' The rep declined to elaborate what exactly the 'aspect' would entail, but did say that ' it definitely is not the primary focus' of the game...
...So what exactly will Splinter Cell Essentials be? Ubisoft isn't saying--yet. 'We are preparing to make an official announcement and will give more details very soon,' said the rep."
