Developer Kit for GTA Exploit Released!

Well here's to more homebrew games for 2.01/2.5/2.6 firmware! Fanjita has now released a small 'developer kit' for porting and making games for these firmwares. Keep in mind though, that this is aimed more towards developers, average users and people who have no clue how to compile a simple C++ program need not try to make something out of it. Feel free to ask questions in the forums, but threads will be locked when they get out of hand/multiple questions on the same topic arise. And if you do make something cool out of it, feel free to drop us at PSP 3D an email and we'll be sure to get it on the homepage.

"Following on from Tetris for GTA, I've put together a small package of source and useful tools for developing homebrew to run with the GTA loader. This package will allow you to replace tetris.bin with your own binary, and makes it easy to deal with some of the issues in the GTA environment.

I'm hoping that developers (especially v2.6 owners) will use this package to develop simple homebrew to keep v2.6 users entertained while they wait for their firmware to be fully exploited. If you write anything cool with this, please let me know.

This package is intended for experienced developers only. It will make a lot more sense if you have prior experience of coding for the PSP. I don't have the time to provide support for newbie questions about C compilation, etc., but if you have problems with technical details of the package itself, let me know."

Download the developer kit here.

Finally, a dev kit for 2.XX! I'm going to start porting homebrew apps to 2.6 as soon as possible. But unfortunately, my PSP's USB is dead...

You should consider using a USB memory stick reader for porting homebrew apps.

Sorry im kinda new to psp programming but i am an experienced programmer. I resently got a psp with a built in 2.5 firmware. Im just wondering if theres any development restrictions using this dev kit for the GTA exploit compared to programming for 1.5. or is everything that was made for psp 1.5 able to be fully ported to work for the GTA exploit?

If so, does anyone know where i can grab the source code for the snes emulator for psp? Thats a big must-port!!!!
