if you have an in-store warranty, then PLEASE try to downgrade. What we need is one more person with an original 1.5 PSP that successfully downgrades to 1.0. That will serve us two purposes:
1. We will know what the error is (the 2.0-->1.5 downgrader stopping at 99% and not having the EXACT same files are a 'virgin' 1.5.
2. we can fix that error.
3. First 1.0 firmware flasher/downgrader.
4. 1.0 is the most easily hackable firmware.
5. MOST importantly, this will proove that CUSTOM firmware is now an option, allowing us to do whatever we wish, from incorporating DivX support into the PSP, to allowing all homebrew and preventing updates, and more. Everything.
i think the admin covered most of these in his posts in this thread...but whatever..

| | | | has anyone tried doing this from a 1.5 upgraded from 1.0?
when i got my psp it had 1.5 on it... but i have a feeling its upgraded from 1.0 (from who i bought it from).. not sure tho.. its a Jap model
also whats this 2.5 with 1.0 security crap? are you forgetting that 1.5 is the best for running isos? Fast loader and umd emulator don't work on 1.0.... so i think it'd be better having a custom 1.5/2.0 mixture instead of 1.0/2.5
think about it...
but either way this is a huge way off and it seems that anyone whos downgraded (from 2.0) hasn't got a hope in hell... unless there is a way to fix it obviously
if this does turn into something good, i'll be very happy that i've stuck with my 1.5 firmware | |
