Spiral Minds has donated 2GB space and 200GB Bandwidth out of support for PSP3D.coms hard work. As you all can see the site has become a huge success! This is a great thing. Sadly the success of the site requires alot of server resources as well as Bandwidth. As was stated earlier the current traffic on this site has used 700GB of bandwidth alone from people downloading the wonderful software provided by the PSP3D.com team. This ammounts to huge overages in Bandwidth usages. This site is currently 500GB over their 200GB alottment. Im not a gready man by any measure and love to see the sites success. But this bandwidth is costing me $.60GB over and beyond the 200GB alottment. Im not asking for profit. I am not begging for donations. I am simply stating that if PSP3D.com cannot account for these overages I cannot afford to spend $300mth in the bandwidth Overage over and beyond what Spiral Minds is already donating. In order for this site to be maintained at its current traffic and bandwidth load it really requires a dedicated server. That would cost psp3d approx $339.00mth and they would have to manage the servers themselves. I enjoy working with the developers here and do not wish them to go anywhere. But I cannot carry the entire financial responsibility for running the site. I have donated what I thought more than fair. I am willing to manage the server during peak usages and maintain balanced servers to keep the site from getting over burdened. I am willing to do all I can and have been there for this team everytime they have needed me. But without help covering the additional bandwidth usages I will not be able to provide psp3d.com my help.  |
