However, I'd like to see how credible PSM's 'sources' are on this info, the picture is just one from E3 2004, so no new evidence in that aspect, but I'm sure Sony does have something planned as far as mail clients/GPS go. Whatever the case, I'm hoping the GPS module pictured was just the prototype from E3 2004, looks kinda large and unintuitive for a final version.
"The March 2006 PSM describes an upcoming PSP firmware update that will include an e-mail client. Sony Mail will let users setup a PSP e-mail account using the PSP's unique system ID instead of wrestling with server setup.
Hopefully it'll have the ability to access more than just the PSP account. I can almost smell the unified login, baby.
A GPS addon is on the way later in 2006 and will be accompanied by the release of map UMD's." Source

the Email is a great idea, but why update? e-mail clients for the psp will come along eventually from hackers. |

| | | | Does anyone think were far behind from being able to send email to email from one PSP to another PSP with no wi-fi connection needed?
I mean like cell phones. You can send text to other cell phones as well as sign into yahoo messneger, aim, as well as others. All with no internet connection what-so-ever.
Why wouldnt the PSP beable to do the same thing? | |
