Sony Launches TV Network Service For PSP

Hmm, an iPod-like service finally being released for the PSP. Very good news, could possibly cause people to switch over from iPod to PSP, especially during the holidays. Only two problems are that it doesn't look like it's coming to the US (or anywhere else besides Japan) anytime soon, and what the hell is up with the 2 week rental thing? How come you can pay $1 or $2 for a TV show for an iPod AND get to keep it forever, but with this, you pay the same amount, but it stops working after 2 weeks?

"Those in Japan are going to get the goods from Sony very soon. Sony is launching a new network TV service for the PSP to showcase its capabilities. The service works through the PSP’s Wi-Fi connection to grab content via the Sony Portable TV Network. Users will be able to download videos, movies, music videos, and more at about $3 a pop. The problem is that it’s more like a rental service. The videos expire within 1 to 2 weeks and then are no longer viewable."

Sounds neat. The rental thing sounds kinda dumb, but then again I wont really care that I cain't watch it that long after. Price seems a bit bleh, would be cool if they had a monthly price of like $20.
