Official Sony PSP-To-TV Adapter Coming Soon?

In an article written on the recent cut-down of PSP UMD movie title releases at CanMag, there was some useful information regarding a new PSP to TV converter/adapter. We could soon have an official Sony adapter for the PSP which will allow movie UMDs to be read through a PSP, and viewed on a full-screen TV. There was no mention of whether or not game UMDs will also have this capability, but this will definitely add a lot of value to the PSP, once released. Of course, this is all dependent on whether or not aspect ratios can be sustained, and resolution does not drop below DVD quality (otherwise it would be just as useless as all the other current PSP to TV converters out there). Only then we can all think of our PSPs as the new 'portable DVD player'.

"...PSP owners do not want to own two copies of each movie they enjoy; one DVD and one UMD.

Sony is currently working on this issue by creating an adapter that will allow a UMD movie to be watched on a normal-size television through th PSP. Sony is currently displaying the adapter to the studios to help get them back on board.

Though an adapter would be a great idea for some of the smaller televisions out there, we should only assume that the resolution suffers greatly when placed on any larger television or bigscreen."

no way would sony release something where u would have to mod the PSP. How many people would say that there PSP stopped working before they tried to install the device.

ya it wont be something that voids the warrenty to install, so it will probably be some gay thing that goes over the screen. too bad you cant get video through the usb.
