Either pay $2 via credit card to play online, or give away your privacy (email, etc) to EA. And worst of all, there is no privacy statement regarding the use of the collected information, meaning they could sell your information to tons of companies and scam artists. Looks like Sony/EA is stooping to new lows, Sony, for allowing a publisher to do such a thing, and EA, for trying to squeeze out every ounce of profit that is possible through the PSP handheld, even at the sake of using shady business practices.
Considering the majority of PSP users don't have access to a credit card (being as demographics show majority of users are teenagers), looks like we'll all have to suffer giving out data to EA for their disposal to play online. Decisions...decisions...
Lets hope this will be the only EA game which requires this for infrastructure play, but I wouldn't have my hopes up.
Read more about this new money-making tactic here.

I guess for me, no NFS or Madden online. Yeah saw it, well if they do, LAWSUIT!! Isnt spam against the law anyways?

The online service is expensive for a company and to compansate these costs, they want to get money from the user or they get money from advertisments.
This was done by EA long ago, i don't no with game it was but i already gave my e-mail to EA and nothing happens.
(sorry for my bad english, but i hope you'll understand it) |
