Datel Communicator Headset For PSP Released!

Datel has officially announced today the release of their new Communicator Headset for the PSP, an over-the-ear microphone headset, usable for PSP games which allow microphone use (the only current games supporting that feature are SOCOM: US Navy Seals Fireteam Bravo and Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror). Being as those are the only games utilizing that capability, it's interesting that Datel decided to plan and release a headset like this. Maybe they heard from Sony that more microphone-supporting games are coming in the near future? Whatever the case, it sure looks better than the standard Sony microphone/headset, and for $15, it's a steal.

(From the official Datel press release)
"Communicator Headset works with any PSP game with voice chat. With a microphone positioned near your mouth and an earpiece for crystal-clear sound, Communicator Headset lets you bark out your orders or taunt your opponents as you play your favourite online-enabled PSP titles.

Take Sony’s brilliant SOCOM: US Navy Seals Fireteam Bravo. During online play, it’s essential that you communicate with the rest of your squad. Plan your strategies, warn your comrades in arms of impending danger and make sure everyone is doing the job they’re meant to be doing. With Communicator Headset, you can hear every word your buddies utter, and your own instructions are never lost in the heat of battle."

I like the double headset...this is ok I guess, I prefer paying an extra $5 and having double headsets that actually have sony's name.

I think it looks pretty dang cool. But there definitely needs to be more games using this to justify the purchase (as I already bought the Sony one).

Looks cool, but there's no point for me, since my wi-fi is broke, and i don't have wireless internet.
