| | | | Does it really work on 2.5 ?? Hello,
got a firmware 2.5, and i manage to launch the prog using the 2.X version, but even if nothing freeze or go crazy, when i want to create a new connection, nothing happens, i mean that i select an IP and port, put a new name, an icon, and i still have nothing appearing, neither a new icon with the new connection i created nor a connection that is made. Does anyone knows if its normal, how u guys are doing to connect to a vnc server ?? |

| | | | Spoon Feed Me Hi all, great site and some really great work by all! Really interested in this, Sorry now for the extreme newbism but can anyone explain to me how to get this working, from where what directory to put the folders in to how to connect, also so you need the internet or will a p.c. connected to a wireless router do? In other words I'd really appreciate it if someone could talk to me as if I'm 5.
Cheers!
John F.
P.S I've firmware version 2.1 |

(yes there is a space between ipconfig and the /). then copy the information over to your psp when setting up a new custom connection to your network. But here is the tricky part. The link that beefteck posted skips a few important pieces of information. DO NOT COPY THE SAME IP YOU SEE FROM YOUR COMPUTER. itll give you an error about conflicting ip addresses. you want an ip that your computer will never have, and if you have a linksys router itll always be 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.104 . so set the ip on your psp to 192.168.1.105. then start up pspvnc and load the program with the network connection you just made. there will still be no connection to your computer. click the icon to make a new connection, and set the ip on THIS connection to the exact ip of your computer at the time. you can find this out by putting your pointer in windows over the little V server icon. So if it says 192.168.1.103, that is what you type. Then you just pick an icon for the connection on your psp, and itll allow you to connect. Word to the wise though: within vnc on your computer, change the password to something only you know, because you will be asked to enter it on your psp when connecting to your computer.
Well, thats it. hope that was helpful. If you have any more questions feel free to post em or pm me. |

Doubleposted Message Below:
The prob was coming for a little stupid unrar apps, was using file-roller and this stupid apps didn't show me that there was an empty folder inside the prog folder, so i didn't have the host folder, thats why it didn't work

| | | | Am I stupid? just wondering if anyone can answer a most probably stupid question. Do you need an interent connection for this to work or will a wireless router on it's own work?
