HMmmmmm
1. Either Sony have released this because they have found a flaw and added a few extra features to disguise this fact.
2. Or they have released this to stirr up the homebrew seen.
3. Or they have innocently relseaed this to add a few small extra features

Firmaware war

Well the Modchip is coming out and Sony is still playing cat and mouse with Firmwares, at the end Sony will loose cause hackers always find a way, only if they would just listen to the public.. SONY YOU SUCK..

They could by updating the hardware inside the PSP, for example putting something in the space where the modchip would fit.

Or reading 0okm's blog at: http://0okm.blogspot.com/ he says he doesn't think the latest PSP hardware will support the Undiluted Platinum modchip, this is because of a voltage difference between the modchip and the newest PSP hardware. The modchip works at 3.3v/2.5v but the new PSP hardware works at 1.8v.

This means that this modchip may not work, but a future one could be designed to work.
