Though the official Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories website was updated a few days ago, not much attention was targeted towards the bottom of the site, which states, "PRE-ORDER NOW TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT". Woah, Rockstar! Already expecting it to be such a big hit that supply of the game will be low, to the point where users will be disappointed if they don't preorder? Surely, however, GTA: VCS will be an outstanding hit. I believe that I, myself, might heed Rockstar's warning, and reserve a copy of this game now. 
Anyways, that message links to a list of retailers (Rockstar Warehouse, EBGames, Gamestop, Game (UK)) where one can preorder their own copy of GTA: VCS. The game will be released at $49.99 and ships to the US on October 17th, 2006. Here's what Rockstar has to say about GTA: VCS:
"We are proud of what we were able to achieve with Rockstar North on Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories... by staying true to the high standards of the series and surpassing fans' expectations for a Grand Theft Auto title on a portable machine, we feel confident that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories will redefine what handheld gaming is capable of with the most intense PSP system experience yet."
