Awesome...this should eventually lead to a firmware dumper, which will allow us to reverse-engineer the 2.01 firmware...and find the new version number location...which we can hopefully change and possibly eventually downgrade with

Yeah, Fan mentioned over on PSPU that someone was working on getting Tetris to run on 2.01 via the GTA savegame hack.

.Time to burst those tiny bubbles of hope...or as Cartman says:
"Ah yes...your tears...they taste so suh-weet, yes."

Fanjita has expanded on this over on PSPupdates. He says there have been three "types" of exploits found to date:
user-mode only (GTA: LCS savegame hack found in 2.01+)
VSH (user-mode with some kernel access to flash0...found in 2.0)
kernel-mode (found in 1.5)

The 2.0 TIF exploit uses VSH whereas the GTA savegame "hack" is strictly user-mode only, no access to flash at all, which means it can't be "tricked" into downgrading to 1.5 like 2.0 was.
Logical conclusion: no downgrading from 2.01 or higher and no ISO loaders via the GTA savegame "hack" due to lack of access to the flash.

Hey, since more people are working on this using the GTA exploit, why can't some people start cracking down and making the GTA cheat device for 2.6?

iball and ericchen, the port was made by us. The gamewasmade by Fanjita. We got assistance from Fanjita on it.

Also, iball, your 'bubble' has been burst many pages ago in this thread:

Yes but all the people dont seem to listen. You can not and will not get a downgrader even on 2.01!! How would you like to downgrade and change the version number if you can not access the flash. That is impossible!
