Fanjita has expanded on this over on PSPupdates. He says there have been three "types" of exploits found to date:
user-mode only (GTA: LCS savegame hack found in 2.01+)
VSH (user-mode with some kernel access to flash0...found in 2.0)
kernel-mode (found in 1.5)
The 2.0 TIF exploit uses VSH whereas the GTA savegame "hack" is strictly user-mode only, no access to flash at all, which means it can't be "tricked" into downgrading to 1.5 like 2.0 was.
Logical conclusion: no downgrading from 2.01 or higher and no ISO loaders via the GTA savegame "hack" due to lack of access to the flash. |
