Points: 63,556.44 Donate | | | "Play Is Changing" Sony Press Event! Sony seems to be opening up doors for a ton of press coverage of their highly anticipated PSP camera acccessory, aimed for launch later in Fall '06. Just yesterday, we brought you the news that the PSP camera will in fact be 1.3 MegaPixels, a relatively low standard for today's technological capabilities. After conducting some research, it was, however, determined that the camera addon planned for release will have higher quality then a cell phone camera, even though they are the same MP. This is due to the fact that the PSP accessory sports a larger, more powerful lens, whereas cell cameras tend to offer pretty lame mini-lens.
These pictures were all gethered at today's "Play Is Changing" event in a prominent showroom in Japan. You can tell that the resolution of the camera is definitely not as bad as a cell phone's; the image of the man taking the photograph looks rather crisp and large, for a 1.3 MP.
Also at the event, Sony put a lot of publicity into the up and coming Loco Roco game. Now that we all have tried out the downloadable demo of the game, Sony apparently plans to launch a lot of marketing into the game to sell it. The more I think of it, Loco Roco does look like a pretty fun game, even if it has random yellow balls rolling around singing a totally random song in a random language.
Finally, Sony tossed around word about the GPS accessory also coming later this year (Fall/Winter '06). They seem to have some interesting plans for its incorporation into gaming, but not too many details have been released as of yet. We'll let you in on more information as soon as Sony releases it! Check out additional information and pictures at the source here.

And if they made it 1280x1024 thatd be alot better idealy for wallpapers and also to be able to reduce the size to an adiquit image size of your choose, but i dunno im not to keen on the 1.3mp i realise its got a bigger lens but then again hus gonna take proper pictures of landscapes and arty stuff with there psp i no i wont, i think ill just stick with my 7mp digital camara(tho only digital zoom )!

and ever heard of the stretch function for wallpapers ? it shrinks or expands resolutions that dont fit the desktop, and it this case it would shrink whats there, making for a clearer and sharper picture...

Originally Posted by MiG and it this case it would shrink whats there, making for a clearer and sharper picture... | Wrong! resixing a picture no matter if you make it bigger or smaller, will reduce the quality. if you make it bigger, you'll enlargen the pixels, something that makes it look bad, and when you make it smaller, you'll loose information. |
