ZX-81 has just released the latest version of PSPVBA, a GameBoy Advance homebrew emulator for the PSP, based off a port of the SDL Linux version 1.7.2 of VisualBoyAdvance. The new version handles new turbo modes, improvements in screenshots and sound quality, and improved stability and performanace. Once again, awesome update, ZX-81!
New features/fixes in v1.0.5 include:
- New turbo modes (more speed and less graphical artifacts).
- Added SFX enable/disable option (can be used to increase speed).
- Fix in BMP screenshots (no more need to flip the image).
- Improved sound quality (the "ARM tick" can be changed to prevent sound distorsion).
- The SELECT key is now available for user keyboard mapping (but don't forget to map a PSP key to enter in the emulator MENU).
- File requester now uses two directories for keyboard and ROM files.
- Fixed the bug that made games like Pokemon Fire to crash.
