Mpeg 4 and 2.+

I just got my PSP and all I want to do is watch Mpeg4 movies (got a 2gb stick) and play my new games (which require 2.0 at least). Is there any reason to upgrade further to the other 2.+??? I'm curious about homebrew, but probably won't be getting into it for another couple of months, while I get used to the new system.

no, theres really no point in upgrading. the only things you'll be missing is rss (not that great), locationfree (who uses that?!?), and more security. stick with 2.0 if you have it and consider yourself very lucky that you have it!

just keep upgrading and downgrading (make sure you have a safe program), 2.0 for games, 1.5 for isos and whatnot.

Hey thanks guys. I've been trying to figure this out. Most replies are "google it, or search the forums" There needs to be a message posted on the main page in big blinking letters. "DO NOT UPGRADE POST 2.0!" So many people say just don't upgrade past 1.5, but all of my games required 2.0 and I wasn't sure what to do.

You can use a version changer in order to fake your psp into thinking it is a higher firmware.
