Question Streaming Video To PSP Via USB

Hey guys iv been searching all over google for a way to stream videos off my pc via usb. See at home I have PIMPStreamer, and it works well but at work I would like to stream videos off my laptop and onto my psp via usb. That way I can still do work and have a movie or show playing at the same time. If anyone knows a way to do this please let me know. Any help would be awesome .

You could use iR Shell with USBhost redirection, which means that your PSP's memory stick would be relinked to your PC's HDD via USB, allowing you to do what you stated. That's just another thing to Google, as I have personally never tried it.

EDIT: Tried it, it's working. I'll write a tutorial later.

I used to do that on my mac. There was a terminal app that would work. No idea where to find it now. I have since then reformatted my hdd and don't have it any more.

Thanks a bunch! I just installed IR Shell, but I have no idea how to relink my memory stick the my HDD. But at least this is one step closer to my goal . Ill be waiting for you tutorial and also looking around google. Thanks again!
Doubleposted Message Below:
Ok, so I got the USBHost to work on my PC. I can see my video files from the USBHost Dir on IRShell, but none of them will play. Most of the videos are in .avi format. Am I doing something wrong? Or can the psp not handle the .avi format? With PimpStreamer I had no problem watching my movies, no matter what format they were.

Now I know that I was streaming the videos from my Pc with PimpStreamer and that my PC handled my codecs and what not, but is their a way for USBHost to stream my videos? Or am I going to have to convert all my videos to a differnt format? I will continue to work on this on my own and keep you guys updated if I find a solution. But any ideas or solution you guys can come up with would be greatly appreciated.

BTW: Sorry for the double post, I ment to edit my post, not start a new one =(

The PSP only supporets MP4, so youre gonna have to convert the avi files. There are plenty of converters out there but the one I find the most user freindly would have to be PSP Video 9.
