I saw on your web sit somthing about a tester to test Memory Sticks must say did not realy understand it I am a Grandmother who has bought some Memory Sticks for my Grangson for Christmas and have been told they are fake because the numbers are not genuine perhaps ther is somone out there who can help me i.e. where or how I can test them |

Points: 352.44 Donate | | Usually, you can test them using a PSP with a fairly recent firmware version by doing this: - Start up the PSP with no UMD inserted, and the Memory Stick you want to test inserted in the slot.
- Go down in the menu until the white logo for the Memory Stick is highlighted, then press the triangle button on the PSP.
- Select Information.
- If the Memory Stick is genuine, it will say 'MagicGate Supported' on the third line; if it's fake, it will either say 'MagicGate Not Supported' or 'MagicGate Unknown'.

Points: 15.78 Donate | | | Where did you buy those memory sticks? If they are new and from a chain, Gamestop/EB, they should be ok. Also if they are a major brand, SanDisk, Sony, etc... |

And yes, unless you bought your Memory Stick from some less-popular site or person, they should be just fine. All Memory Sticks from EB Games, GameStop, etc. are all real. |
