mp4 with subtitles

Hi!
I have problem with videos.

I want to watch films with entral european subtitles. Is there any option to paste them to avi when making mp4?

I was doing it like that:
1- convert vbr to cbr (virtualdub doesn't support vbr)
2- convert txt subtitles to srt (or str... or sth )
3- paste subs into viedeo (spending so much time as converting)
4- convert to mp4 via psp max media

it worked, but it toke really long to make...

regards

ps. sorry for my english...

For 1.5 firmware:

Download PMP Mod and PMP Muxrer from here and install it on your psp

Then do what you did with virtualdub but at the video->compression choose XviD (You should download XviD first)

In XviD encoder settings you should do the following:
At "XviD Configuration" window click the first "more" button (the one thats higher) and uncheck everything (see the pics below).

Also, if you use virtualdub, you should add a sharpen filter with value 20 (if you're going to resize) and AFTER that a resize filter at 480x272 or lower (values shoud be multiples of 8). Better choose Lanczos at resize. Before the resize but after the sharpen you can use one of the filters vobsub provides to add subtitles just like textsub.

Convert your sound at CBR MP3 Stereo 44100kHz and bitrate from 32 to 320! Anything else will not work!

Then you must have an avi (with or without sound) and an Mp3 file.

Open the PMP Muxer and choose them. Also choose a name for the output and click "Go!" It is going to create a pmp file.

Create a VIDEO folder in you ms0:\PSP\ and put the pmp inside.

Run the PMP Mod on your PSP, load the file and watch the awesomwe result!

For 2.00+ firmware:

Insted of using PMP Muxer, use MP4Box and Yamb (Yamb its a GUI for MP4Box) and create MP4 files which you put at ms0:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01\ and you play them under the "Video" Section on your PSP.

If you need extra help MSN me at alexkanlis@hotmail.com or send me a mail. Don't PM me cause I never check my Inbox here!

I wish this helps!

Unfortunetly, i have v2.6 (and Fanjita don't want to make downgrader, beacoise he thinks that only reson to downgrade is using ISOloader;/ Doesn't he remember about all the hamebrew that can't work on 2.x? Shells? Avi players? Remote controllers? ).

I will try MP4Box with Yamb and see the results

Big thanks for sugestion
