Alternatively, if you don't mind spending alot of money, use Sony Sound Forge. I have rich parents, so it's okay lol. There are cracks out there for it. I'm so friendly, i'm even linking you to one. go HERE |

Easy listening and dance are good. When you get better, try doing some Drum & Bass, or some hardcore dance. "Voodoo People" by Prodigy, or the Pendulum Remix Version is a great example. Download it and inspire yourself! |

What you have to do is find some songs with lyrics which are similar on topics, so they blend well.
The next requirement is a good sense of speed. If you choose something like 50 cent or Eminem and DIDO or Avril Lavigne etc, then it will be difficult, but the outcome can be fantastic.
The Last thing, is make sure you add clips from Song A to song B in the right places, otherwise the music is worthless.
Alternatively, you could just enhance and alter the sounds without another sony, so as to make it more lively, or repeat some verses. That is why i love sound-forge. It's great for moulding sound. |

Also, if you want some AWESOME performance from soundforge, make sure you're using the latest version, and look around for some nice plug-ins.
Remember, start slow.
Oh, and i suggest that if you want really baby stepping stuff use Sound Forge Audio Studio, because Sound Forge 8 is the professional package. It's used mainly for record producers and people who know their stuff. So, if you want easy going, use Audio studio. If you want experience, then start with Forge 8. Sound Forge 8 isn't all that hard though, you pick it up as you go along, and after a while you ace it! A little like photoshop.

I always create a quick txt file so i know what goes where, remembering to write the places in the track you are going to modify. This helped me, but you might not want to.
Make sure when you've chosen, that you don't change your mind. Pick, and then stick with them. If, after two or three hours, you're really stuck, then consider swapping. |
