Sorry, i ment Power PC as in.. the Mac's that say Power PC on it. I don't know much about Mac's, only that the primary OS's they have used are based on Unix/BeOS/BSD. But yer i'm not surpirsed that linux managed to squeeze its way in somewhere, like it always does...
And erm, did i ever say that a Power PC will only run OSX? I know that PowerPC is many many many years older... And the PowerPC/MIPS comparrison u made isnt exactly accurate as PowerPC CPU's and MIPS-based CPU's were both designed with a completely different objective in mind. Although they are both RISC, PowerPC is.. well.. targetted at PC's or computers.
All i know is that PowerPC would NOT be ANYWHERE it is today if it wasn't for the Amiga making such a hige success out of the Motorola "oh-x-oh" chips (eg 68000, 68020, etc). And i'm happy that the new AmigaOS 4.0 machine (knows as the "AmigaOne") is running a PowerPC.... the newest being a G5
I don't like Apple, or Linux, but i love my Amiga's. Those are my thoughts...
Now you may go back on topic :P
