Anyway I'll get to the point... Last night a modified version of daedalus was released by a coder who as far as I can tell goes by the name of Shifty. I want to be clear on this now to avoid any potential ignorant flaming, I DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE CODING OF THIS EMULATOR! I ONLY FOUND IT AND THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE GOOD TO GIVE IT SOME PUBLICITY. ok, that said. This coder Shifty released a spiff-up of daedalus, but its much more worth your time than wally's spiff up, (no disrespect intended, I appreciate any and all coders, moreso because I am incapable of coding myself) but if anyone was waiting on a speed-up in daedalus, this is what youve really been waiting for. DaedalusShifty is faster than any previously released daedalus, and by faster I mean nearly full speed. But heres the catch, the speedup is only really evident in roms with .z64 file extensions. However my Mario64 rom is .z64 and I can tell you that it's currently running (yes even in levels) at 17+fps. There is no sound, but believe me this emulator is well worth it. Shifty deserves all of our praise, as well as Strmnnrmn since this release is based on his code, and thats basically all I had to say. Thanks for reading guys, and ive included an attachment with the KXploited version of the emulator with this post. Enjoy!! I had to KXploit the file myself since for some reason he released it in 1.0 format. No big deal though. | | These 2 PSP3D.com users think this news deserves homepage: | |

I dont really have much of a ****** to gain fame through journalistic writing on a web site I didnt create myself. I just wanted to help out the community a little by posting my findings, and possibly gain some recognition for another coder pushing the envelope in the psp-hacking scene. Thanks anyway though Mr. all important Admin. Maybe if you surfed the web a little more often you could've been the one to post this news. Thanks for your vote though DorkDork I do appreciate that. |

Much cleaner and much easier to read than this. Most of the people will not read this... Too big, no images...
Sorry but I too agree with Michael M. and dorkdork777 especially if your post continues like this. |

- Mario's Head - ~7fps
- Save select - ~35fps
- Peach's Letter - ~20fps
- Camera panning cutscene - ~15fps
- Outside the castle - ~17fps
- Inside the castle - ~15fps
- In Bob-Omb Battlefield - ~10fps
So, in other words, playable, but not in any way ideal. But I've found a few noticeable bugs - - Lakitu has no eyes
- No star on doorway
- No Peach portrait on castle
- Missing flags on camera panning cutscene
- No water
- Coins are invisible
But, obviously, I don't expect this, as a first release, to be perfect.
