Since it is the first release, it can only be installed as a full installation.
Although, it is obvious, DO NOT USE ANY DXAR FROM 3.03 OE, USE THE ONE
GENERATED WITH THE INCLUDED OEUPDMAKER AND SONY 1.50 AND 3.10 FIRMWARES UPDATES.
Note 1: the installer will disable all plugins to avoid incompatibilities when booting. You can
enable them again in the recovery menu.
Note 2: the plugin to load 3.02 pops won't work anymore in 3.10 OE, due to some changes in pops
modules structure (meaudio fused with popsman, idcanager/idmanager behaviour slightly changed).
A new plugin for 3.10 could be written next week.
Changes in 3.10 OE-A:
- Change from 3.03 firmware to 3.10
- 4th level of brightness (aka battery eater) can now be selected also without ac adaptor.
- Changes in hen core:
* Static user elf's can now be executed in the 3.10 kernel. (this includes snes user version
between other programs)
* Tyranid's patch (added in 3.03 OE-C) consequences was not explained very well in the changelog of 3.03 OE-C:
- For programmers: it allows kernel modules to have user imports, making kernel programming
in 3.03/3.10 less strict.
- For users: plugins and applications that worked in 2.71 SE, but not in OE, *may* now work in 3.03OE-C
and 3.10 OE-A.
How to install 3.10 OE-A on a 1.50 or 3.03 OE PSP
If you're installing this update from 3.03 OE-C, make sure to set your game folder homebrew to use the 1.50 kernel in the recovery menu before running this update, or it won't install.
1. Download and decompress 3.10 OE-A
2. Copy the directories oeupdmaker and oeupdmaker% to /PSP/GAME/
3. On your PSP, run the 3.10 OE-A Update Maker program. This program will create a file called DATA.DXAR in the oeupdmaker folder
4. Copy the directories 310oeflasher and 310oeflasher% to /PSP/GAME
5. Move the generated DATA.DXAR from oeupdmaker to 310oeflasher directory
6. On your PSP, run the 3.10 OE-A Firmware Install program. Your battery must be 75% full
7. The program will display an agreement. Press X to accept and flash the custom firmware. Don't shutdown the PSP or remove the memory stick until the update is finished
8. Once finished, shutdown the psp and restart manually to 3.10 OE-A
9. Restore default settings if you try to go to the web browser it comes up with the blue screen of death, but if you press o nothing happens so go to restore default settings to fix it. (that happened with me)
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK This could brick but is highly unlikely. As long as you follow the instructions.
No one is responsible if you brick!!!
This includes the updates needed. If you are updating from 3.03 OE-C Rename GAME to GAME150.
It would be handy though if you could fix the link and make the file smaller by removing... whatever's making it so large. I went to QJ, and the file there was just over 100 K, but here it's over 30 MB.
Old School Member PSP firmware history;
1.50-> 2.00-> 2.50-> 1.50-> 3.02 OEA-> 3.03 OEA-> 3.03 OEB-> 3.03 OEC-> 3.10 OEA-> 3.10 OEA' IF ANY ONE WANTS TO DONATE POINTS SO THAT I CAN BUY A CUSTOM USER TITLE, FEEL FREE TO DO SO.
Slight problem man. Your download link is a dead link and I can't download it from MaxConsole because I'm not a member and I don't want to sign up. So could you reupload the .rar file somewhere that would be good. Thanks.
and maybe make it smaller like DorkDork suggested. It's funny there were like two posts made as I wrote this one so the dead link I said about is old news. Sorry.
