Exclamation 3.50 OE Custom Firmware - To be Released Later

Mathieulh, a custom-firmware news reporter, has recently announced the status of progress on Dark_AleX's latest custom firmware, 3.50 OE!

Here is what he said in more understandable vocabulary:
It will be a little more difficult to code a 3.50 OE because Sony Computer Entertainment changed the .prx format. This means that current extraction tools cannot work on 3.50 and thus it will be harder to decode. Dark_AleX will need 'complying tools' before he can progress in making the new firmware.

Dark_AleX is currently taking exams so he is very busy, so do not expect 3.50 OE to be released within the next few days...

Well, exams are still more important than making an OE I guess. Take your time, and good work DAX!

I understand that about exams. All my friends in College are busy as hell with exams and SpongeFreak is right they are important. I don't know why $ony bothers changing things either. They always find a way to crack any changed that are made to try to stop the hackers.

where's the fun for Dark_Alex team C&D and all other developers if $ony dont change it.
p.s. it also shows $ony's attempts of increasing security are a failure and the developers are better than $ony

Hi all i would like to introduce myself as a new member, I've had a PSP for over a year now and have never botherd with "homebrew games" until my friend turned up at work with GBA games on his psp!! i was amazed i knew it could be done and tried to look to a way sum time ago but my firmware version was too high as i like to keep all my stuff updated and thats y i have updated my psp to version 3.50 and am no regretting it, Although all the new features are cool I'd much rather play gameboy games than psp games becos lets be honest ther arnt any good psp games out there. And i am Glad to see that there is a "hack" for firmware V3.50 in the making

If any 1 would like to could you give me sum info on OE and OE-A versions? im new to this and would like to learn how to "downgrade" and stuff.

pm me or email me at icedbluedragon@hotmail.com

Cheers
Kronikice

Sorry to burst your bubble mate, but this isn't a hack for 3.50. This will be a way for current owners of PSPs with firmware version 1.50 to get the features of 3.50 but keep homebrew support. You'll probably have to wait quite a while for a hack for 3.50 - nobody knows how long it will be, so there's no point in asking.

One of the hardest things about being on hacking forums is telling people that it can't be done, and I'm sorry to have to do this.
