Points: 440,871.73 Donate | | | Project 4 Open Beta Released Team Auraomega has finally released what will probably be the best release before the new year. It is called Project 4. This is quite an interesting hack for the PSP. It is a complete XMB replacement, but it is not a shell, like irShell. Project 4 loads completely from the PSP's flash. Everything you need to know about installation / uninstallation is in the readme.pdf file.
Here is a list of working and non-working features in this beta release: Quote: Working:- ISO loading.
- CSO loading.
- ISOFs NoUMD mode.
- Editable GUI.
- 3.XX Kernel loading for EBOOT, PRX and ELF files.
- 1.50 Kernel loading for EBOOT, PRX and ELF files.
- PNG loader.
- JPG loader.
- HEX reader.
- UMD loader.
- Internal keyboard (soon to be replaced by Sony keyboard).
- File Copying.
- Change config and flash writing.
- Theme flashing.
Non-working (faulty):- MP3 Player.
- Text Reader.
- File Deletion (Does not delete folders if there are files or folders inside).
- NoUMD compatibility (M33 driver and NP9600).
| [ Download] (Note on the Download: It is a link to another site. The PSP3d uploader isn't working correctly. If an admin wants to take a look at it please do so.
[ Source] Disclaimer: installiation of this requires you to modify your flash0. If you brick your PSP, and are unable to restore it using the Pandora Battery hack, PSP3d is can not be held reliable. Make sure you read the readme file EXTREMELY carefully.
Second Disclaimer: Project 4 includes ISO support. Please do not post on the forums asking for ISOs. It is against site rules to do so. Violators will be taken care of! |

My Mood: | | | | I just installed this today and it works great. The only flaw is the fact that a lot of the features (eg. music, photos etc) do not work. The concept is awesome and I'm sure that this will replace every shell and possibly every XMB |

My Mood: | | | | i don't think it is a matter of wether or not it is stable, because I am using it right now and it seems pretty solid. I think the lack of features is the biggest issue. If you have 3.52 m33-4 or lower it is no problem switching between sony xmb and project4. Give it shot if you have 3.52, what can you lose? |
