Hey all. I'm trying to fix my uncle's computer. His homepaged is taken over by http://www.safetyhomepage.com (i'm guessing not to go their if u don't want the same problem) and the title is called Security Center. It says all this stuff about programs that get rid of spyware and stuff. We've tried programs like adaware se personal, spybot, hijack this, all that stuff. I'll post the hijack this log file if that helps thx.

I don't think any of you guys are helping him. Try Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal - it's free and does a great job of removing stuff like adware and spyware, so should fix your uncle's computer. But make sure that, when you run the program, you get the update.

EDIT: Just saw you'd already tried, bit get the letest ddefinition files anyway, and then try NoAdware. It's shareware but I'll try and dig out a code.

Thx dorkdork777 for a REAL post. Yah I already tried the lavasoft program and their is like nothing to delete. I don't know if it has to do with the internet security center that comes with winxp.

Ya im having the same prob. all i did was to do a system restore and i removed them. Nothign i tried remoe anything so just do a sys restore. Start>Programs>accesories>System Tools>Restore

no nothing will remove it u have to find a tutorial on the net then go into safe mode and remove tuns of files and apply patches it suxs but u gotta do it i just format and reinstall windows if i have to cuz i have an 80 gig and a 200gig with everyhting backed up on it
