Question Intel vs Amd

Which ones better or faster. Im getting a new computer and I need to know which type of processor I should get and at what speed range. I'm thinkin 3.0GHz. What about the cache, how big? Let me know some specs that would be considered when buying a computer.
thx

Definatly try to get an Intel, they are better quality i would say, and get a comp with atleast 512-1gb of ram, anything less and it will go slow, and dont get a small hard drive cuz you will regret it.. Hmm, not sure about the cache but ask someone else about that

Totally depends on what you want from a pc.
INtel for the win. AMD processors have started to burst into flames, when run for a long time...Not sure if they have fixed that yet though..
Speed? Intel: 3.0-3.66ghz

2.8-3.2 i dont kno u how good you are with computers but i would sugest making your own computer find a good tower 20$ buck newegg mobo about 60$ for a decent 1 100$ for a fairly good graphx card ram ( i would take it out of ur old comp if its compatable) dvd drive 20 bucks and a processor i suggest AMD for gaming or Intel for other stuff (get an amd 3800+ for good prefomence) Oh yeah monkey boy get on AIM!

With graphics do not get shared 64MB or lower you won't be able to run direct x 9 which is now used for all latest PC games, a 128 MB dedicated should do.
Doublepost message: But u should realy get higher makes a lot of differnece. (256 or 512 mb depends how much you play games.
