ok, iv got nero express 6 ( i actually have the cd!!) and iv donwloaded a film in AVI format, but i cant make it burn to dvd in dvd format! can someone help me please!! i dont wanna watch the film on my pc cos i run my pc thru a projector and with homebrew (pirated) movies the quality and too good cos its soo big. so i wanna watch it on my tv. But when i go into nero first of it doesnt even see the avi, cos its only looking for .bup and .vob and another one, so how do i convert it!! please help!!

Use nero vision express and click on it. Then goto make cd or dvd. And it should convert it automatically for you. Also goto the default video setting options. In there should be some settings you can mess around with to tweak the quality. But first you have to convert the AVI into MPEG format. Just search the web using AVI to MPEG converter in the search engine and some should come up.

do avi's not work then? im converting to mpeg2 now, does it matter if its mpeg1 or 2?

its ok, i think iv sussed it with a program called Cucusoft AVI/MPEG to dvd burner, it seems to convert and burn so !! sorted!
